DESCRIPTION

Is one of the most famous trek in the world, compare with ANAPURNA trek for the Spectaculars Mountains like Yerupajá the second height mountain in Peru, with more than 6000 meters over the sea, also famous mountains like Jirishanca, Rondoy, Trapezium, Siulá scenery of the one best seller of the mountains “touch in the void”. It has spectaculars lakes like Jahuacocha, Solterococha, Mitucocha, Carhuacocha and Viconga. In the way we will fine typical towns like Llamac, Pocpa and Huallapa. The altitudes oscillate  between 3300 meters over the see and 5000 meters over the sea level with very important pass like CACANAMPUNTA, RONDOY, HUAYHUASH y CUYOC of 5000 meters over the sea, inside of this cordillera you are separated of the modern civilisation, inclusive to two or three day of trek of their. In the centre of the mountains are wild vicuñas, condors, vizcachas, tears, huayhuashs,  typical mouse from this area.

DAY 01: Lima / Huaraz

Pick up from your hotel and transfer to the bus station. Output from Lima to Huaraz  at 13:00. 8 hours approximately travelling. Transfer from the bus station to the hotel.

DAY 2: LAKE 69:

Breakfast at 5:30

Gather from the Hotel 6:30 a.m.

By car you travel approximately 4 hours we will pass for the beautiful lagoons Llanganuco. Also with the car is possible appraised the impressive views of the valley of Huaylas. You will arrive to Cebollapampa from here you will begin to walk approximately 3 hours of ascent until the lagoon 69. Rest. then you will descend in approximately 2 hours. Return to Huaraz by car.

 

LAGUNA 69: One of the most beautiful lakes of the National Park Huascarán, because have a intensive blue color and from here is possible have a spectacular view of the most important glacier of Cordillera Blanca, like Huascarán, Huandoy, Chopicalqui

 

DAY 3: HUARAZ - LLAMAC- MATACANCHA:

You leave from Huaraz to Llamac, from here you beging to walk. This stage is from 4 hours of walk for the left margin of the river Llamac and we will go by the town of Pocpa, then for the point that intertwines with the hint that Huallanca unites with the mines of Minapata, hint that is continued toward Huallanca. Passing the gulch Rondoy will camp in the area of Cuartelhuain, a place with big grasslands.

 

DIA 4: MATACANCHA – CARHUACOCHA LAGOON

This day is a long day, but with beautiful and unforgettable landscapes. We will trek from Matacancha camp (4150 m.o.s.) until the Cacanan punta pass (4700 m.o.s.) after we will descend to 4200 m.o.s.), and after we will up newly the Carhuac pass (4650 m.o.s.) zoom we will down to the third base camp, Carhuacocha, where is possible appreciate the Carhuacocha lake, the Jirishancas glaciers, big Yerupajá and little Yerupajá, big Siulá, and little Siulá, this  mountain was scene of a best seller and movie “Touch in the void”, the landscape here is very imppresive

DIA 5: CARHUACOCHA – HUAYHUASH

9 hour trekk.

Very early  we will Start to walk to Huayhuash camp.

From Carhuacocha we will up to the Siulá pass (4800 m.o.s.), from here we will down to the Huayhuash camp (4400 m.o.s.), in the way we will can appresiate the same camps, and the lakes Quesillococha, Siula and Ganracocha and Carnicero lake. Each lake have characteristic colors.

From the pass we will se other mountains more, Carnicero glacier, Jurau glacier, Huayhuash glacier, Trapecio. We will make the base camp down of that wonderful landscape.

 

DAY 6: HUAYHUASH – VICONGA:

The animals with the load will go  to the Araraj Pass (4750 m.o.s.), zoom. We will down to the Viconga Camp (4450 m.o.s.) in the way we will see the glaciers of Range Raura, Puscanturpa glacier, Kulloc, the big Viconga lake, and we can take a comfortable. After the hot spring we will continued walking until Pumarinri camp (4350 m.o.s.).

 

DAY 7: LAGUNA VICONGA – HUANACPATAY

You will up to the Cuyoc pass (5000m.) seeing in the road the south face of the Puscanturpas and the Cuyoc glaciers. From this pass is possible see all theRange Huayhuash and Range Raura. After you will descend for a extensive grassland. Huanacpatay camp (4470 m.o.s.l)

DAY 8: HUANACPATAY – HUATIAQ

This day you down 4 hours to Huayllapa(3600 m.o.s.),  You will up to the view point San Antonio, (5100 m.o.s.), from here is possible see Jarau lake, Sarapo Lake, range Jarau, the other face of the Carnicero glacier, Clavelcocha glacier, the Sarapo glacier, the big Siulá, the big Yerupajá, the Rasak glacier, Sacra chico, Santa Rosa glacier. After you will return and continued the Huanacpatay valley since the little town Huatiaq (3600 m.o.s.) camp.

 

DAY 9: HUATIAQ – JAUACOCHA

From Huatiaq you will up to the Yaucha pass (4750 m.o.s.), after you down to the last camp Jahuacocha (4050 m.o.s.) in the road you can appreciate the Diablo mudo glacier, Sacra grande glacier, the summit of Siulá, the Rasac glacier, the big Yerupajá, the Toro glacier, the Espolón glacier, the Escudo, the big Jirishanca, and the Rondoy glacier and the Huacrish cascade, after you will down to the lake, here you make the last camp.

 

DAY 10: JAHUACOCHA – LLAMAC - HUARAZ

Return to  Llamac. Is necessary up to the Pampallamac pass (4100 m.o.s.), zoom down to Llamac town (3250 m.o.s.), in Llamac our car wait for us for return to Huaraz.  you will arrived to Huaraz at 17:00 p.m.

 

DAY11: HUARAZ – LIMA

Rest day, you will can enjoy of the city Huaraz. 11:00 p.m. Bus Huaraz - Lima

CLIMATE: The climate is very dry, in the morning usualy the sky is clean and the climate is warm. In the morning the temperature is between 7º until 15º.  In the shadow is cold. The Night is very cold, between 5º until 0º.
