Day 01: LA PAZ – UYUNI
Breakfast. Bus boarding for a 3 hours drive and
arrival at Oruro, where we board the train towards
Uyuni, arriving there after a 8 hours trip. Welcome and
transfer to the hotel. Overnight
Day 02: SALT FLAT UYUNI
Breakfast. Departure at 10:30 a.m. Visit Colchani where
we will observe manual salt production and processing to
iodine salt. We then head to the Inca Huasi Island, also
called Fish Island by its peculiar form. It has lots of
caves and gigantic cactus about 8 to 10 meters spread
over a lime like surface. Snack and drive towards San
Juan town where we shall dine and overnight in basic and
simple lodgings.
Day 03: COLORADA LAKE
Breakfast. Four wheel drive to Ollague Volcano from
where we will have at sight Lakes Cañapa, Hedionda,
Chaircota and Honda. These lakes are home for various
pink flamencos and bird species. Thereafter lunch and
along our drive sighting of the Siloli desert which
offers a unique appearance. Also sighting of the Stone
Tree. We the arrive to Colorada Lake where we will dine
and overnight in basic and simple lodgings.
Day 04: SUNRISE GEYSERS
Breakfast - Departure from Colorada Lake towards the
SUNRISE GEYSERS where we will admire sulphur vapors and
thermal water emanation, as well as mini fumaroles.
Further down our trip we shall arrive to a thermal water
pond where we may enjoy a very pleasant open air bath.
We then arrive to the Dali desert, which presents us a
very mysterious sight. It then follows arrival to Green
Lake (Laguna Verde) where we will see the change of
colour of the water , together with a gorgeous sight of
the Licancabur volcano. Lunch. Visit the Valley of the
Rocks, Villa Alota. Dinner. Overnight in Basic and
simple lodgings.
Day 05: UYUNI
Breakfast. Departure to Culpina, San Cristóbal, Vila
Vila. Lunch. Arrival in Uyuni and visit the train
cementery. Transfer to the train station.
Day 06: LA PAZ
Reception at the Oruro’s train station and connection by
bus to La Paz. Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in La Paz.
